Second round of AKTU counselling from Wed
The second round of counselling (special) for admission to 615 engineering and management colleges of APJ Kalam Technical University will begin from Wednesday while document verification will be held on the next two consecutive days. Vacant seats of sub-categories will be merged with respective vertical categories. As a result, the sub-category seats of physically handicapped, freedom fighters, girls and armed forces will cease to exist from the second round.
“All candidates who could not be allotted any seats in the first round and have not opted for `withdrawn option’ in the first round, will automatically be considered for seat allotment in the second round,“ said AKTU spokesperson Ashish Mishra.
Meanwhile, first round of counselling concluded on Sunday and as many as 27,282 seats in six bachelors and two post-graduation courses offered by the university were filled. In the first round, 23,158 BTech seats, 1,110 B Pharma seats, 503 seats of BArch, 1,975 MBA seats and 613 seats in MCA were filled. There are around 1.5 lakh seats in various colleges associated to AKTU, counselling for which will be held in five rounds till August 3.
