`Not-for-kids’ warning on tobacco packs?
All tobacco products and liquor bottles may have to carry a health warning that giving or selling intoxicants to a child is a punishable crime with up to seven years of rigorous imprisonment and fine of up to Rs 1 lakh, reports Himanshi Dhawan. Draft rules of the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015, released on Wednesday , mandate that tobacco products or liquor can’t be sold within 200 metres of a child care institution or Juvenile Justice Board office.
Cabinet okays 6 news IITs
The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved setting up of six new IITs at Tirupati, Palakkad, Dharwar, Bhilai, Goa and Jammu and upgradation of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, into an IIT.
