Jote protests `revenge politics’
The jote criticized the Mamata Banerjee government a day after the swearing-in, alleging that the Trinamool administration plans to reduce police to mere puppets and practice the politics of revenge.

Police forced them to take down all microp hones put up at Haldia’s Hazra crossing, where the rally started. Mahisadal circle inspector Supriyo Basu reportedly told CPM leaders Deb and Monoj Bhattacharya that they could not go ahead since they didn’t have police permission. But the rallyists marched on. Adhir targeted Mamata, questioning why Trinamool leaders “seen allegedly accepting cash“ in the Narada tapes found place in her cabinet. “She can’t be a symbol of honesty ,“ he said.
