Apple is expected to unveil a slew of new products in a couple of hours in San Francisco. Reports suggest that Apple will launch a new iPad Pro, a new iPhone models and also a completely redesigned Apple TV. Hours before the launch event, 9To5Mac, a blog focused on covering Apple products, is reporting that the rumoured iPad Pro model will have a starting price of $799 and will have a minimum base storage capacity of 32GB.
It is worth noting that the iPad Air 2, which is sold currently has a base storage of 16GB and a starting price of $499.
More than this, the report claims that Apple’s iPad could be as expensive as $1129 for the top of the line 128GB 4G LTE model, which pegs it slightly cheaper than the recently launched Retina MacBook. There will also be 64GB and 128GB models of the iPad Pro, sans LTE connectivity for $899 and $999 claims the report.
More details of the incoming iPhone model have also been released. The report claims that the new iPhone will be sold in a new rose gold model and will have new features like a 12-megapixel camera, which will support 4K videos, and will have a new 3D Force Touch screen. It will also have a new A9 processor with new more efficient wireless chip for LTE connectivity.
From a software point of view, the phone is slated to have an always on ‘Hey Siri’. Even for the new version of iOS 9 for Apple TV, the reports says that Apple will call it tvOS just like it named the OS for the Apple Watch watchOS.
The tvOS will be based on the current operating system for Apple TV, but will also borrow a lot of new features found in OS X El Capitan and iOS 9. Reportedly, Twitter owned Periscope is also working on an app for the Apple TV, which will be meant for watching Periscope streams.
Lastly, Apple is also working with a number of fashion brands for the Apple Watch claims the report. Some of these features may not be developed fully so Apple may not announce them, but the Cupertino based company is expected showcase some new bands for the Watch in addition to a new colour.
