The new iPhone models on Friday became available to customers in Canada, Australia, France, China, Hong Kong, Germany, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Puerto Rico, the US, and the UK.
“Sales for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been phenomenal, blowing past any previous first-weekend sales results in Apple’s history,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook. “Customers’ feedback is incredible and they are loving 3D Touch and Live Photos, and we can’t wait to bring iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to customers in even more countries on October 9.”
The company has announced that on October 16 it will launch the new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus in India. With this launch, it will be the fastest Apple models rollout ever for the Indian market, which comes less than a month after the latest models became available worldwide.
The new iPhones October 16 release puts in a position to cash in on the upcoming festive season. For the new iPhones, the biggest competitors to the Indian market will be Samsung’s S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note5.
