Badrinath Yatra app: People who want go for Badrinath yatra will now be able to get the information via an exclusive app on their mobile phones.
An Android app has been launched for the annual Badrinath pilgrimage by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat on Monday. The app is known by name Shubh Badrinath Yatra.
The district administration of Chamoli designed the app. It provides information of the pilgrimage between Joshimath and Badrinath. The app has been now listed on Google Play Store and has the following description.“This app is designed to provide you all the necessary and useful information of Joshimath-Badrinath yatra route to make your visit pleasant, safe, happy and comfortable. This app will introduce you to the traditional pahadi cuisine and all the updates directly from Sri Badrinath ji.”
This app will provide users with the information about their journey by detecting their location when they are online. This is an Android app.
Garhwal Divisional Commissioner Chandra Singh Napalchyal told IANS that the Shubh Badrinath Yatra app will provide any kind of information which might be needed during the journey – details about ATM’s, petrol pumps, hotels, restaurants, potable water, toilets, parking stands, bus stands, taxi stands and repair shops.
Officials further said that all these facilities along with the emergency and helipad services will be linked directly to the Google maps. In case of a landslide or inclement weather conditions, the service will also providing alternate and emergency routes.
Chief Minister Rawat lauded the app and said that if the app proves to be a success, the Uttarakhand government may extend it to Yamunotri, Gangotri and Kedarnath shrines.
