Bag Filled With Explosives Found In Kolkata: The police had identified a bag which was filled with explosive material in Falknuma Express at Howrah Railway station of Kolkata.
A bag had been identified which was filled with the explosive material in Falaknuma Express at Kolkata on Tuesday.
According to the sources A bag was found which was completely filled with pipe like objects from a empty compartment of Falaknuma express at Horah railway station on Tuesday night.
According to the bomb squad officials the objects were identified as low intensity landmines. Immediately after finding the objects the bomb squad was called which took the bag to a isolated place and was defused.
The explosive material that was seized by the officials from the station can be used in the manufacture of crude land mines. The officials are suspecting that the bag was transported from Secunderabad by the Howrah-Falaknuma Express.
The officials were monitoring the close circuit TVs of the station’s platform, where the train arrived on Tuesday night in order to identify if the carrier of the bags could be identified.
On identifying the bag with with explosives the officials have seized the bag immediately and called the bomb squad. The bag was discovered by the railway staff from an empty general compartment before cleaning the coach after the arrival of the train on Platform number 17.
The officials have registered a case and have started investigation to find out the carrier of the bag and the reason behind leaving the bag in the compartment.
The passengers in the railway station were shocked with the sudden incident in the railway station and the huge movement of police forces and bomb squad in the stations created panic among the passengers on the platform.
