Sub Inspector in Chennai opened fire at his son-in-law when the couple Rajasekhar and Abhinaya are returning to home, a cop named Sankara Pandian intercepted and shot his son-in-law who recently married. After the attack residents caught the sub-inspector and handed him to the Abiramapuram police which arrested him, The injured son-in-law Rajasekhar is software employee immediately admitted in hospital in Adyar. It took place around 9 PM near the junction of Devanathan Street and St Mary’s Road.
From the reports targeted Rajasekhar with his 9mm pistol, he opened fire for 4 times, but police confirmed that at least he might hurt with 2 rounds. Law enforcers recovered the gun from the sub-inspector Sankara Pandian after rushing to the spot which is gathered with a public.

Abhinaya immediately rushed Rajasekhar to the nearby hospital in Adyar into an autorickshaw and doctors kept him in intensive care and they are saying that, Rajasekhar is been shot very close after seeing the injuries on the stomach and blood loss. Sankara Pandian shooted him when he is moving to the Rajagopalan’s house on St Mary’s Road in Abiramapuram returning from his duty.
Hospital sources added, “A bullet entered and exited his abdomen. As of now, there is no perforation of organs, but there has been significant blood loss. He has been taken for a surgery.”
The auto driver stated who witnessed the attack he is in shock after observing the bullets, “I saw bullets passing near the man’s body, but only one appears to have hit him.”
One more witness, Meenakshi saying who is with his son, “How can a police officer fire in public? I have seen such actions only in Kollywood films, We were directly in the line of fire. Had he fired a second shot, it might have hit my son or me.”
