Jayalalitha is an Indian Politician and also Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu who received several honorary doctorates, She served CM from 1991-96, 2002-06 and 2011-14. Today Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa inaugurated the butterfly park. This park is featured with Rs 4 Cr over 6.7 acres of land at Arignar Anna Zoological Park at suburban Vandalur. It is embedded with 200 species of plants and tress and supportive atmosphere for butterflies.
Recently, CM of Northern Province C.V. Wigneswaran on Wednesday commended Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa for being “very forthright” in the state assembly.
She also inaugurated Govt Medical College at a cost of Rs 200 crore in the state. This is the 20th medical colleges in the state and the first in the Chennai after 1960. It was located at Omandurar Govt estate and it is fully air conditioned. The college was inaugurated by Jayalalithaa through a video conferencing from the state secretariat.
The Tamil Nadu Multi-Super Speciality Hospital with 400 beds was also inaugurated last year in the Government Estate.
Greeting Ms Jayalalithaa, Mr. Wigneswaram added, “her action had brought a “strong message” to the Union government of India to take all possible steps to ensure that an international mechanism is formulated to hear the war crimes.”
Jayalalithaa also launched the Annadhanam scheme on 206 temples and pooja articles of worth Rs 2.44 Crore to 10,000 tiny shrines. Behlaf of this she sacntioned time pay scale to 820 personnel working on their dialy work basis. This Annadhanam Scheme is featured with 500 temples everyday.
Jayalalithaa wrote a letter to Mr Modi said “in the face of overwhelming public opinion in Tamil Nadu, the Assembly debated the matter at length and passed a resolution.”
She also texted, “I request the Government of India to take immediate necessary further action on the basis of the resolution.”
