UP Cop Smashes Old Man’s Type Writer: A police sub-inspector has abused a 65 year old typist and smashed his type writer and got suspended later.
A police sub inspector in Uttar Pradesh reportedly abused a old man who was a typist at general post office and even destroyed his type writer which was the old man’s sole source of income.
According to the sources Krishna Kumar of 65 years working outside the Lucknow General post office for the past 35 years.
When he was working as usual on Saturday morning a sub inspector of UP asked him to vacant the place in order to clear the encroachment from the area. Before the old man is thinking to vacant the spot, the sub inspector started abusing him and kicked the type writer after which it has destroyed into pieces.
The local reporters present around the area captured the scenes which went viral on the TV and social networking sites. In the pics it was found that the old man is seen begging the cop.
The old man spoke t the media saying “I have been sitting outside the GPO for 35 years with my typewriter the policeman just came, started abusing (me) and broke my typewriter.”
The sub inspector was identified as Pradeep Kumar was suspended following the incident. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav ordered the district magistrate to suspend the SI after watching the incident on social media sites and also ordered the DSP and SSP to give a new type writer to the old man.
Upon the directions of CM the DSP and SSP located the residence of the old man and presented him two type writers with English and Hindi interface on Saturday night.
