On Thursday, Dilip Pandey, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader said that his party will very soon start a door-to-door campaign in Delhi in order to educate people on the rising menace of dengue in the state.“Our party workers from Saturday will make sure about fumigation in areas where dengue cases are observed. We will also start a door-to-door campaign, with the help of our party workers to educate the people on the increasing menace of dengue,” Pandey said on Thursday.
Yesterday, the Aam Admi Party(AAP) unit in Delhi organised a Google hangout session at 250 different locations in Delhi. The purpose of this session was to educate party workers about the increasing menace of dengue. The experts who were part of the session suggested measures and precautions to tackle this viral disease,” Pandey said.
“The ultimate aim of this session was also to educate the party workers so that they can visit homes and tell the people not to cause panic as Dengue fever is also like viral fever and is curable,” he added.
The Delhi High Court, meanwhile, on Thursday asked AAP Government and the Centre as to what steps were being taken. The court also directed them to file affidavits regarding the inability to control the disease and explaining the same within two weeks. It also sought responses from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and NDMC on the steps being taken for the prevention of dengue.
