Nasim Zaidi, Election Commission (EC) chief, with a team of 10 people, will be visiting Bihar for two-day to review the preparations for the upcoming election in the state. He will be reviewing 1st, second and third phase of assembly elections in the state.Election Commissioners teams include O.P Rawat. Zaidi and Achal Kumar Jyoti will hold the meeting with the representatives of different political parties on Sunday afternoon.
Zaidi would also review meetings with Inspector General, Commissioner and SSP of those districts where 1st, 2nd and 3rd phase of elections are scheduled to take place. He will also meet the Home Secretary, Chief Secretary and Director General of Police, of the state before returning to the national capital. On October 12, the first phase of elections will be held, while the second and third phase will take place on October 16 and October 28.
Most of the time in state during elections there are number of incidence of booth capturing, intimidating of voters and keeping these issues in mind Election Commission of India has assured to deploy enough forces to conduct peaceful and violence-free voting in the state.
This election is crucial for both BJP and Nitish-Lalu led coalition party and both parties are trying hard to win the elections. Meanwhile, BJP is planning more than 500 rallies in the state in coming days with PM Modi addressing more than 20 rallies in the state after returning from the United States. After Delhi debacle, it is must win election for BJP to gain people trust in the current government.
