KTR tweets to Naidu over HC split
Proving that the battle between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh over the bifurcation of High Court can be fought on many fronts and platforms, state’s IT-savvy minister KT Rama Rao took a sneaky shot at AP chief minister Chandrababu Naidu on the subject.
Taking to Twitter, where he is quite active, Rama Rao was among those who congratulated Naidu on the AP government starting to function from Amaravati, the upcoming capital that is slowly taking shape.
Naidu, celebrating the mi lestone, tweeted, “Extremely happy as a new chapter begins in the history of Andhra Pradesh as our Govt has started functioning from #Amaravati today .“ Rama Rao responded apparently quite cheerfully and cheekily with “Sir, Congratulations on the milestone. To expedite justice delivery, isn’t it imp that AP has High Court in Amaravati?“ It may be recalled that both states have been engaged in a bitter battle over bifurcation of the High Court with each blaming the other over the delay in its division. Over the past few days, judicial officers and lawyers in Telangana have launched a sustained agitation demanding the immediate bifurcation of the High Court with chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao too, writing to the Centre seeking immediate split.
Naidu slams KCR
Vijayawada: Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu accused his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao of raking up disputes one after the other. Referring to Telangana staking claim over the Andhra Bhavan in Delhi and the controversy over recent appointment of judges, Naidu at a media conference here on Friday advised Telangana to desist from creating `unnecessary’ unrest among Telugu people.
