Telangana government has decided to revive the state-run TV channel, Mana TV , with a new nomenclature.
The government has called upon people to suggest a name and logo for the channel and win a cash reward of Rs 51,000.
“The TV channel is going to revived. It will be useful for the youth, job seekers, homemakers and farmers,“ said IT minister KT Rama Rao.
Mana TV was launched in 2001. It was aired to 60,000 schools through receive only terminal (ROT). It is now almost defunct.
