KCR to meet Modi tomorrow
Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is scheduled to leave for New Delhi on Monday . During his two-day visit to the national capital, the chief minister is slated to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and appraise him about the severe drought condition prevailed in the state.
In the meeting with the PM on Tuesday , the chief minister is likely to seek enhancement of the drought relief.While Telangana has sought Rs 2,000 crore, the Centre released only Rs 791 crore in February . Sources said KCR will also seek the Centre’s permission for the proposed reorganisation of districts. The state government is to announce the formation of 15 new districts on the occasion of Telangana formation day on June 2.
Enhancement of the strength of Telangana legislative assembly is another issue expected to come up for discussion with Modi.
