Kapu leader and former minister Mudraga da Padma nabham on Sunday said he will conti nue the agita tion for reser vations for the Kapu community . community .“The agitation will go on till the goal is achieved,“ he said.
Senior Kapu leaders from across the state held a meeting here to discuss the future course of action. Padmanabham said the Constitution has guaranteed the right to agitation or protests. “We are fighting for our rights within the framework of the Constitution,“ he added.
He regretted that several curbs have been imposed on Kapu leaders, who are fighting for quota in government jobs and professional courses. He said he will not be cowed down by the “threats“ of chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Referring to the special category status to AP, he alleged that Naidu had mortgaged the interests of the state with the Centre.
