The Telangana government plans to establish a Rs 270 crore international leather processing complex at Station Ghanpur village in Warangal district. Telangana industries and commerce minister K T Rama Rao (KTR) met Union minister of state for commerce and industry Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi on Friday and gave her a copy of the proposal of the complex to be built on 117-acre land.
The proposal has been drawn up by IL&FS Cluster Development Initiative Limited, an official statement said.
KTR, son of state Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, requested the Centre to sanction a Rs 105-crore grant under the Indian Leather Development Programme of the ministry of commerce and industry , it said.
