T Formation Day bonanza: Get land documents registered for free
Land owners, whose property records are not registered yet, can get them registered for free next month as part of Telangana statehood celebrations. Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday directed officials to register property records documented even on plain paper before June 2, 2014, at a meeting with district collectors.Such records will be registered between June 2 and 10, as the state celebrates its second anniversary .
“Documents recorded on plain paper for land up to five acres have to be registered and the mutation should be done free of cost. Once the registration process is complete in eight days, the documents must be computerized,“ the CM said.
Taking a serious note of graft in land mutation (change of title), KCR asked the officials to make arrangements to complete the process of mutation within ten days after an application is submitted. While he strictly warned them against taking money from applicants, the CM asked officials to create awareness about this among people.
Apart from areas that come un der the HMDA region, the registration drive will be taken up across the state, including all municipal and rural areas. Fixing a 15-day deadline, KCR said that the process of registration and change of title must be completed within the timeframe and details of the transaction must be uploaded on the database of the collectorate on the 16th day.
