he Telangana Joint Action Committee on Tuesday asked the state government to release all information it gathered on the basis of which it has proposed reorganisation of districts.
TJAC chairman Prof M Kodandaram told reporters here that releasing of the information that the government collected through its officials and during consultations with stake holders such as employee organisa tions must also be placed in the public domain. This will provide a better understanding of the rationale behind division of existing districts and creating new ones, he said. Prof Kodandaram also asked the government to maintain the integrity of tribal areas and not divide them up into different districts. He said the TJAC was not in favour of the government dividing Warangal district into two. Warangal remaining as a single district is imperative for its development, he said.
