In the run up to the shifting of its administration from Hyderabad to the upcoming capital city of Amaravati, the Andhra Pradesh government on Tuesday issued orders allocating office space to various departments in the interim government complex at Velagapudi village in Guntur district.
The Andhra Pradesh government will formally begin functioning from Amaravati at 10 am on October 3. However, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will move to the interim government complex on October 11 coinciding with Vijay Dasami.
The government has also provided accommodation to some of the women employees at a private apartment complex near Acharya Nagarjuna University at Nambur village between Vijayawada and Guntur. The government has taken 30 three-bed flats on rent. It has asked the builder to provide 10 more three-bed room flats in the complex.
The chief minister’s security will move to the complex a week before Vijay Dasami. As many as 54 chambers have been readied to accommodate go vernment secretaries. All the ministers along with their staff will also move into the interim government complex by October 3.
