The department of school education, Telangana, signed a memorandum of understanding with Bharti Foundation on Tuesday to support 15 government schools under its Satya Bharti Quality Support Programme.
As part of the MoU, the foundation will partner with the department to strengthen initiatives aimed at a holistic improvement in quality of schools. Through joint discussions with school heads and education department officials, key areas of improvement will be identified and action plans will be developed accordingly, said officials.
G Kishan, director of school education, Telangana, said, “Satya Bharti Quality Support Programme has already created successful synergies with principals and teachers of government schools across five other states. Quality education has been recognised by the Telangana government as a critical need and we welcome Bharti Foundation’s support in helping students and teachers of these schools realise aspirations.“
Under the programme, the foundation will support principals in prioritising areas of improvement. The core team of school heads, teachers, school staff and parents, along with Bharti Foundation’s academic mentor, will implement interventions that contribute towards streamlining school processes, capacity building as well as engage parents, teachers and students in improving the overall performance of these schools.
