Filmmaker Abbas mustan said that he will soon start working on a script which can be a sequel to their 2002 film Humraaz. the Film was featured Bobby Deol, Akshaye Khanna and Ameesha Patel.
Director duo Abbas Mustan said that he will soon start working on a script which can be a sequel to their 2002 film Humraaz.
Abbas Mustan said, “There is one script and it can be developed as Humraaz 2. We are working on it. The idea is that it can be made into a sequel. We will go for a younger lot of actors but we are still working on it.”
The director Abbas is currently working on his upcoming film Race 3, which is the third instalment in the Race franchisee.
“Humraaz” was produced under Venus Movies banner. The film, starring Bobby Deol, Akshaye Khanna and Amisha Patel in lead roles, performed well at the box office.
The film performed very well at box office and was declared as a ‘Hit’. The film was nominated for several Filmfare Awards including the Best Film, Abbas-Mustan for Filmfare Best Director Award and Akshaye Khanna for the Filmfare Best Villain Award. It is inspired little bit from a movie “Dial M For Murder”.
According to the reports, there was a sequel to their Shah Rukh Khan starrer “Baazigar”. The Film was a 1993 Bollywood crime-thriller film was directed by Abbas-Mustan. It is a modern thriller about a young man who stops at nothing to get what he wants.
The story of “Baazigar” was inspired from the Hollywood film ‘A Kiss Before Dying’. The film got business success at the time of its release.
