Goa govt to extend 7th pay commission benefits to employees: CM
Reacting to the union cabinet decision to approve implementation of seventh pay commission, chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Wednesday said that the state would like to extend similar benefits to government employees.
The implementation of seventh pay commission would result in additional liability of Rs 750 crore to the state.
Parsekar said when union cabinet accepts the seventh pay commission, every state has to take its own decision on its implementation.
He explained further that it is now ministry of finance which has to notify the pay scale and ministry of personnel has to revise pension order to know the extent of financial burden after the implementation of seventh pay commission.
