Android 6.0 Marshmallow: The roll out of Google’s latest version Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been started on Nexus devices. The users of the Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 9 and Nexus Player will be receiving an over the air (OTA) software update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
And the recently launched devices – the Nexus 5X, the Nexus 6P and the Google Pixel C tablet will be coming directly with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software.
However, the Nexus users who are more eager to experience the immediate software update can find the images for the Nexus 6, 5, 9, player, and 7 (2013) for download at the Nexus system image page.
MRA58K is the final build of Android 6.0. It has been revealed by Ars Technica report that there are no major differences from the Android M Developer Preview #3 that has been out almost for a month and a half.
And for those who wish to wait for over-the-air update of the 6.0, it can happen any day. Once downloading of the Android 6.0 file is done, users will be receiving a notification which will guide them with the installation steps.
The company also said that the users who carry their devices to their work places and who are willing to know more about how to keep their mobile phones secure and more features in Android 6.0 Marshmallow are open to register for the Android for Work Live online event to be held on November 4.
