Jammu Kashmir Government is mulling to constitute State Revenue and Land Use Planning Board, Revenue Minister Syed Basharat Ahmed Bukhari today said here.
Bukhari said the Board would regulate the land use with special focus on land specifications for different purposes and keep check on conversion of already shrinking agriculture land.
He also said that a policy too is being framed for proper rehabilitation of people displaced due to certain reasons including project constructions.
Bukhari, according to an official statement, was reviewing the functioning of the Revenue Department in Jammu and Samba districts here at a meeting.
Bukhari asked Naib Tehsildars, Girdawars and Patwaris to submit every month self-certifying report that no encroachment of Kahcharai/Common/ State Land, besides any unauthorized conversion of land has taken place within their jurisdiction.
