Central Board of Secondary Education is making special arrangements for the students of five affiliated schools in the Valley who are affected due to the curfew and law and order problems.
It has decided to arrange special classes to complete the syllabus for the Class XII students. The modalities are being worked out.
Taking suo motu cognisance of requests received from the schools, the board has decided to arrange for subject teachers for all five schools in the Valley , which may take help after assessing respective needs.
The situation has affected Class XII students, who have to take the board exams in March 2017 and several competitive examinations. As such, the schools are winter-bound and are left with a limited window for course completion which has to be done by October.
“We are working out the modalities and reaching out to retired teachers in the neighbouring areas to arrange for subject teachers. The board has written to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan till regular classes resume,“ said Rama Sharma, media coordinator.
