After four rounds of admission conducted by the state’s CET cell, the government on Wednesday decided to give permission to colleges to admit students at their level. On Wednesday evening, about 45% seats in the three-year LLB programme and 65% seats in the fiveyear one were still lying vacant in law colleges.
The state issued a government resolution asking colleges to fill vacant seats under the supervision of the CET cell using a central merit list.The details of the process will be worked out in the two days.Colleges claim that the institute level admissions may take place after the fifth round.
Of the 15,240 seats in the three-year course, about 8,300 seats were filled till Wednesday , and about 3,500 seats were filled in the five-year LLB.
