The BMC is all set to launch a single window clearance system to facilitate businessmen in their transactions with the civic body, Shiv Sena youth wing chief Aditya Thackeray said on Sunday.
“This is not a promise for the next election. A circular is being drafted and it will come into effect soon,” he said during his address at the inaugural session of the India Night Convention and Awards (INCA). Mr. Thackeray said the single window system will benefit the common man as well.
The 26-year-old leader, who has been actively pitching for the revival of Mumbai’s nightlife, has met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and other stakeholders in this regard. “To revive nightlife, I have not kept pubs and bars on my agenda because I know it would lead to a lot of opposition. But why can’t shopping malls, restaurants, theatres, gyms, shops, eating joints, chemists and convenience stores be open 24X7?,” he said.
