Display and Build
The HTC Desire 620G arrives with a 5-inch LCD 720p multi touch display which looks pretty sharp, rich and vibrant with a pixel density of 294ppi. It has a waistline of 9.6mm and tips the scale at 160 grams. These make it a bit disappointing especially in comparison to the sleek and light smartphones. Just like other HTC smartphones, this one also comes with two rows of BoomSound powered speakers, one above the display and one below it.
Configuration and OS
Under the hood, the HTC Desire 620G is packed with a powerful 1.7GHz octa-core processor sitting on MediaTek MT6582 chipset. For handling multiple tasks running simultaneously, the phone depends on a 1GB RAM. Rich videos and movies are managed smoothly by the Adreno 306 graphics unit. It sails on Android v4.4.4 KitKat OS with HTC Sense UI over the top.
Camera and Storage
The main camera of the HTC Desire 620G can capture 8MP stills and supports quality presets like panorama, BSI sensor, face detection, touch focus, geo-tagging and autofocus. At the front, you can find a 5MP shooter which is good for selfies. You can also shoot full HD videos at 30fps with the one at the back. Internally, it has a storage capacity of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB.
Battery and Connectivity
The HTC Desire 620G keeps the show running with the fuel from a sealed 2,100mAh Li-Po battery. Connectivity wise, the phone supports 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB port, GPRS/EDGE and Bluetooth.
The HTC Desire 620G doesn’t stun with any feature but puts up an impressive show at a modest price. In addition to a powerful configuration, it runs on intuitive Android KitKat OS and flaunts quality cameras at both ends. The dual stereo speakers make it a good entertainment package as well.
