LG has unveiled its latest flagship phablet called the V10 in its home market. The device comes with an innovative secondary screen above the main display. The phone also flaunts dual front-facing cameras for extra wide-angle selfies.The LG V10’s 2.1-inch secondary screen can be configured to be an “always on” display, which users can use to access applications on the go without having to go through the main menu. It can be configured to display app shortcuts, the weather, time, date, battery, etc. The secondary screen also displays notifications, and discreetly notifies users about calls and texts without blocking the apps running on the main screen.
The LG V10 also comes with a fingerprint sensor for extra security. In terms of connectivity, it offers 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, Slim Port, and A-GPS. The device is fuelled by a 3,000mAh removable battery, and supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 technology. The LG V10 runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, and comes in Space Black, Luxe White, Modern Beige, Ocean Blue and Opal Blue hues. There’s no word on its price at the moment, but we do know that it will go on sale in South Korea first, followed by a launch in the US, China, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East later this year.
