Of the 1,23,914 candidates registered for the entrance test, 1,08,513 candidates (87.57%) appeared for the first paper (physics and chemistry) on Monday . The second paper of the engineering entrance (mathematics) will be held on Tuesday .
As many as 37,377 seats of the total 58,836 engineering seats available in the state will be allotted based on the entrance examination.
The first and second paper of the medical entrance examination will be held on April 27 and 28. Of the total 2,900 MBBS seats available in the state, the commissioner for entrance examination will allot 1,859 seats on the basis of the entrance examination. These include seats in nine government medical colleges, one government-aided medical college and 13 private medical colleges.
The total BDS seats available in the state are 1,660, of which 911 seats will be allotted based on the entrance examination. There are five government dental colleges, one government-aided dental college and 17 private dental colleges.
Similarly , there are 900 ay urveda seats in the state, of which 559 seats will be allotted based on the entrance examination. There are five government ayurveda medical colleges and 11 private colleges in the state. The total seats available in homeo and siddha sectors are 250 and 50.
Besides, 198 of the total 239 seats available in various courses under the Agriculture University will be allotted based on the entrance examination.
