Meizu m2 launched: Chinese mobile phone maker Meizu today launched the Meizu m2smartphone in India. The smartphone has been priced at Rs 6,999 and will be available exclusively via e-commerce retailer Snapdeal.The registrations for the device are open from 10am today.Meizu initially launched the m2 in its home country in July with a price tag of Chinese Yuan 599.
The Meizu m2 sports a 5-inch HD display covered by Asashi Dragontrail protective glass surface. The smartphone comes with a polycarbonate unibody design.
It is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 SoC with a 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz along with Mali T720 GPU and coupled with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM. It also includes 16GB eMMC memory which can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card slot.The m2 comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture along with an LED flash unit. It also houses a 5MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The device supports dual SIM functionality. Additionally, users will be able to use the second SIM card slot as a microSD card slot too.
The Meizu m2 runs on Android 5.1 OS with Meizu’s Flyme UI 4.5 skin atop it. The connectivity options bundled with the device are 4G FDD-LTE, TD-LTE, GPS, A-GPS, dual-band Wi-fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and more.
Additionally, Meizu said that it would establish 46 customer service centres across 33 cities in the country so that the users will be provided with satisfactory service to their devices.
