The housing lottery draw will be held at Rangsharda Auditorium at Bandra Reclamation in Mumbai. Unsuccessful applicants will start receiving refund of their deposits 10 days from the lottery draw.
Several flats are available in the Mumbai suburbs. Borivali, Sion, Malad, Mankhurd, Chembur and Goregaon are under the lottery system.
The price of flats of the same size in the same locality varies as much as Rs 8.92 lakh. For example, apartments in Sion’s Pratiksha Nagar with a carpet area of 40.61 sq mt have been priced differently for Middle Income Group (MIG) and Low Income Group (LIG) at Rs39.50 lakh, Rs37.35 lakh, Rs37.95 lakh to Rs30.88 lakh and Rs30.58 lakh.
However, for High Income Group (HIG), the rate is almost at par with that prevalent in the market.

The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) lottery for houses in Mumbai and its suburban areas will go under the hammer on Wednesday.
Approximately, 1,36,000 applicants are trying their luck for one of the 972 homes in the lottery.
