A post from the Xbox website revealed that, the update will allow users to invite up to five mates and play cross-platform multiplayer on a local network between Minecraft game: Minecraft: Pocket Edition and Windows 10 Edition BETA. In addition, the Minecraft: Windows 10 version enables users to play with up to five mates on Xbox Live.
The updated features that are found in the Minecraft: Pocket Edition version 0.12.1 contains controller mapping screen, controller support and revamped touch controls features. Also, users will notice that the weather effects have been improved and now, Minecraft includes snow accumulation and directional rain.
During Gamescon 2015, Mojang said, “that they wanted Minecraft to have a more unified play community and Windows 10 was the first step in that direction”.!
