Godman turned actor Sant Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, who created a buzz on the with MSG-2 The Messenger movie released on Sep 18 on the big screen with a sequel to the 2015 film MSG the Messenger Of God. This movie slated over 2000 screens in India and in overseas it is scheduled for release in next week.

The movie has recorded wonderful pre-released response and made Rs 3.60crores with its paid premiere, MSG-2 The Messenger movie bagged Rs 6 Crapproximately on the opening day of the movie and managed with Rs 8 Cr on the second day of the release which is a added advantage for a movie made with less budget. It is estimated Rs 10 Cr on the third day of the release. The trailer of this movie grossed 4.8 million views on YouTube.
It facing few problems in Punjab and Chattisgarh states, it is banned in the state on ‘hurting the sentiments of Tribal people‘, Dera followers called for dharna and demanding to screen MSG -2 movie in theaters. Dera supporters forced to cancel the running of 40 trains when they sat on railway tracks in the Dhuri line at Sangrur and even at Dhandari railway station in Ludhiana. Beyond this SSP Inder Mohan Bhatti added, “As it is the matter of the Railways, the Railway Police Force (RPF) must take a call on the matter. We can assist them if needed.” Senior leaders of SAD added, don’t tempt the issue of screening this movie which is flopped in Delhi, Haryana and in few states. Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das took a move to ban the movie MSG-2.
Chief Minister added Raman Singh added,”tribal people won’t be insulted at any cost. We will take care of their dignity.”
