Mumbai Local Train Derailed B/W Andheri and Vile Parle: Seven coaches of a Mumbai local train has derailed today morning disrupting the railway services on the route.
Seven coaches of a local train has been derailed between Andheri and Vile Parle stations of Mumbai in which no causalities have been reported but the railway services have been seriously disrupted on the busy route which links Churchgate in South Mumbai to Virar.
The train was on its way from Borivali to Churchgate when it is derailed at around 11:00 am between Andheri and Vile Parle stations is the second incident involving local trains.
Last evening a local train coming from Bandra has been derailed on the Harbour Line of Central Railway while entering the platform at Chhattrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST), causing inconvenience to commuters during the peak hours.
The Suburban harbour line services, both up and down have been suspended between CST and Wadala Road Station after the derailment.
In order to ascertain the cause of the derailment, an inquiry would be conducted, said CRPO of Western Railway Sharat Chandrayan.
The officials of Western railway has deployed a team of engineers and rescue operators immediately after the derailment occurred.
A spokes person from the Western Railways addressing media stated Some coaches of Virar and Churchgate fast local derailed between Andheri and Vile Parle at about 11.03 hrs. No injury reported yet but details are being collected and will be posted on social media.
The Western Railways tweeted “Some coaches of the VR-CCG Fast local derailed between Andheri and Vile Parle at 11 hrs. No injury reported yet. Details will be updated.
