Kerala Blasters took control of the ISL 2015 game in Guwahati, with Terry Phelan’s men putting away that heartbreaking loss to Atletico de Kolkata by thumping NorthEast United FC 4-1.
Chris Dagnall scored the fastest ever goal in the Indian Super League, putting the finishing touches to a very nice move. Josu stole the ball from NorthEast United in their own half, then played the ball through to Antonio German on the left, with the Blasters man then finding his strike partner with a perfect low ball.
On 21 minutes, the Blaster deservedly took a 2-0 lead, as a quick freekick from Josu found Cavin Lobo in behind the defence, with the India international making no mistake with the finish.
It could have been 3-0 or 4-0 by halftime, and NorthEast United would have actually been relieved to go into the break just 2-0 down, but there was no letup for the home team in the second 45, with German getting on the scoresheet in the 75th minute with a beautiful curling finish into the bottom corner – Josu getting another assist — before Dagnall completed his brace a minute later, with a powerful left-footed shot from the edge of the box.
