Opera Software has introduced a new brand identity and a new logo after 20 years, the company has changed its name to just ‘Opera’. The company said that they see Opera more as an internet company providing great experiences online and not just as a traditional software company.

With the extended range of services and products, the company has grown beyond the bounds of a software company.
Over 350 million people all over the world experiencing the internet through their services and apps and 1.1 billion people around the world are reached by the company through Opera Mediaworks. The company’s ad business, Opera Mediaworks, now reached 800 million people per month.
This new identity with updated icon has been done on Opera’s flagship product Opera Mini on the iOS platform. Opera’s secondary mobile-advertising company Opera Mediaworks is also launching a new look.
The company says its new 3D “O” logo represents a gateway that leads the users to more answers, more content, more communication, more discoveries, data savings, more fun, more more of life, whatever they seek online, Opera helps them do more!.
Opera first started in 1994 as a research project at Telenor, the largest Norwegian telecommunications company. In 1995, it branched out into a separate company named Opera Software ASA.
Opera is a web browser developed by Opera Software. The latest version is available for Microsoft Windows, OS X, and Linux operating systems, and uses the Blink layout engine. An earlier version using the Presto layout engine is still available and additionally runs on FreeBSD systems.
