Indian military positions were targeted by Pakistani army along the Line of Control ( LoC) in Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, in another case of ceasefire violation.
Forces of Pakistan resorted to ceasefire violation, a defence spokesman said in Balakot sector of Poonch from 1845 hours to 1945 hours.
According to him, Pakistani army used 82 mm mortars and the Indian forces responded effectively using equal caliber weapons along LoC.

In September this year, There have been 16 ceasefire violations by Pakistan. 11 people, that includes two jawans, were killed and over 30 injured in last month after ceasefire violations by Pakistan.
In this year so far more than 251 violations of the border ceasefire agreement by Pakistan has been done, of which 57 were in August.
