Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a centre to provide skills training, market access and financial support to prospective and existing SCST entrepreneurs of the country at PAU football ground on October 18.

The initiative, named National SCST hub, will be floated on an initial investment of Rs 500 crore by the Centre. The PM will also unveil the Zero defect zero effect (ZED) scheme of the Micro small and medium enterprises ministry .The scheme aims at manufac turing goods with zero defects and zero effects on the environment.

National MSME awards will be conferred on 235 businessmen in the country for 2013-14 and 2014-15. Besides, 500 charkhas will be distributed among women of Ludhiana and adjoining districts to encourage entrepreneurship among them.
