AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to kick start the congress parties campaigning in Bihar from September 19.
Ahead of Bihar Assembly polls that were scheduled to take place in October, Congress party is making its preparations for campaigning in Bihar.
According to the sources vice president Rahul Gandhi is getting ready to campaign on behalf of Congress party in Bihar from September 19.
The campaigning of Congress party will be kick started by Rahul Gandhi by addressing a rally in West Champaran on September 19 to launch the Bihar leg of the party’s 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Dr B R Ambedkar.
It is learnt that multiple rallies are scheduled in Patna by the Congress party to reach the people and some four to six rallies will be addressed by party president Sonia Gandhi.
The Champaran rally of Rahul Gandhi gained significance after Swabhiman rally which was held on August 30 by Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, Lalu Prasd Yadav and Sonia Gandhi. However Rahul Gandhi didn’t attend for Swabhiman rally.
The Congress Party is contesting for just 40 seats in Bihar with the alliance of Janata Dal- United (JD-U) and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) parties. It was expected that this grand alliance of the three parties might give a great handle to congress against the ruling BJP in the coming months.
Meanwhile the Bhartiya Janata Party is also going well with its campaigning. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has addressed three mega rallies and announced a special package of funds for the development of Bihar before the announcement of poll schedule and the rallies has got a huge response. It is learnt that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is planning to address few more rallies in the coming days across various places in Bihar.
