Aimed at bringing transparency in public procurement, the state government on Thursday launched a dedicated portal. With this all the information regarding public procurements will be made available online to prospective bidders and public.
State Public Procurement Portal (SPPP) is established under the Rajasthan Transparency Public Procurement (RTPP) Act. Portal was functional for past three years but was serving only the basic mandatory requirements.
“Lot of new features has been added that will make available the procurement related information to the public in a more simplified manner. It will also help in the enhancement of fundamental principle of transparency in public procurement,” said Naveen Mahajan, finance secretary (budget).
