Chief minister Vasundhara Raje directed the officials to organize grievance redressal camps at block, sub-divisional and district level so that people need not come to Jaipur with their problems. Raje was attending to public grievances from the Bikaner division at her residence on Saturday .

cm said public grievance meetings are being organized at divisional level as it gives an idea that which districts have performed well in addressing public grievances.

On the complaints of the farmers from Bikaner that at the tail end of the Indira Gandhi canal that they are deprived of irrigation water, the chief minister di rected the officials visit the spot and find out the problem. Raje also directed to carry out repair of the lining of the canal system so that water is wasted on the way .

The chief minister also directed to issue permit for removing the gypsum from the land holdings of farmers. She said this would also help to increase the productivity of land. Chief Minister advised farmers’ cultivate crops requiring less water and use drip and sprinkler irrigation. On complaints of erratic power supply , the chief minister asked the officials to address the issue of transmission loss on a priority basis. If the power distribution loss (power theft) is tackled, it would help to carry out feeder reforms including improving transmission lines and installation transformers.
