Going through a rough patch financially , the state government has another reason to worry . All Rajasthan State Government Employees’ Federation (ARSGEF) on Monday gave an ultimatum till November 5 for setting up a committee to implement 7th Pay Commission’s recommendations in this financial year.

Raising their voice against anti-employee policies of the government, the federation has called for a dharna at the Collectorate on October 25. To send strong message, its members will also boycott work for half a day on October 29. Setting a final deadline of November 5, the employees’ association will reveal its strategy if their demands are not met.

“There is a budget announcement that when Centre will implement 7th Pay Commission, Rajasthan government will roll out it in the state too. It has been four months now, not even a committee has been set up by the state go vernment,“ said Ayudan Singh Kaviya, president, ARSGEF. “We may even have to go on a strike for which a decision will be taken on November 5.
