Road Accident Kills Law Students: Five Law students have been killed in a road accident that occurred on Kolhapur and Bengaluru highway on Wednesday.
A road accident that occured on Wednesday around 5:00 am when a car ran into a Karnataka state RTC bus killed five students of Law.
According to the sources the incident occurred near the University of Agricultural Sciences on Wednesday when the students were returning from a Dhaba where they have celebrated a birthday party of a friend near Kotur.
All the victims are Law students studying at Sri Siddappa Kambali Law College. The victims have been identified as Shivadeep V Dambal (23) who was the son of Additional SP of Ballari Vijaykumar Dambal, Kartik Malleshappa Nayak (21) son of Davangere ,Yugant S Patil (21) who was the son of Prof S S Patil of UAS, Anish Deepak Chinchore (21), he was the son of HDMC corporator Deepak Chinchore, and NWKRTC employee with Navalgund depot, Shivaraj alias Shivakumar Sanganna Muttagi (21), who was driving the car.
The people who have suffered injuries in this incident are Govindappa Talawar of Badami in Bagalkot district and Prajwal K Udupi of Ron in Gadag district and both have been immediately rushed to Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubballi, for treatment.
According to the reports received the bus was plying to Kolhapur from Bengaluru. After the incident have occurred hundreds of locals have gathered at the accident spot causing inconvenience to transport.
The traffic police also visited the spot immediately after the incident and shifted the bodies of the victims to the hospital for auto spy. The police also filed an FIR regarding the accident and are investigating the case.
Meanwhile MLA Aravind Bellad, HUDA Chairman Danappa Kabber, former mayor Shivu Hiremath had also visited the accident spot and district hospital.
