Okay, what did we just read? This cannot be true. No one can deny the God of Cricket. But something of similar sort has happened. The captain of Indian Test cricket side Virat Kohli ‘insulted’ Sachin Tendulkar on Twitter. And, of course in one the friendliest banter ever witnessed. So exactly what happened between the Great Maestro and this gen’s batting machine.
Sachin Tendulkar on Friday posted a tweet tagging Virat Kohli. He wrote, “Hey @imVkohli, I want to play!” Playing here is expected to be in reference to the International Premier Tennis League in which Virat co-owns one of the franchise UAE Royals. But much to the surprise of the fans of both the cricketers, the 26-year-old Delhi cricketer replied in a negative.
Virat tweeted Sachin Tendulkar writing, “Not sure you have what it takes @sachin_rt paaji!” Well, the Indian captain would have definitely meant it in a funny jest but he should not forget that Sachin follows tennis keenly and there is few things that the master cannot do. Sachin has been a big fan of tennis and considered tennis great John McEnroe as his big time hero.
We have read Virat’s quick reply and are now waiting to read what the Master has to say on this. As for now, Sachin Tendulkar’s ‘I want to play’ left his die-hard fans and followers across the globe in confusion on whether their favourite cricketer is deciding to play cricket once again. Well, we really would love to see him on the field once again.
