After success of the ‘Biju Gaon Gaddi’ programme, Odisha government has decided to launch ‘Biju Gaon Radio’, a community radio programme, through which Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will address villagers every month.

A decision to this effect was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister on Wednesday.

Mr Patnaik will speak to farmers and rural people for 10 minutes though “Apananka Pain” (For You) in Odia language.

Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) Vice-Chancellor Surendranath Pasupalak said the community radio programme would start through 32 ‘Krishi Vigyan Kendras’ spread across the state.

The state government would fund for setting up of community radio centres in different KVKs, Mr Pasupalak said.
