The officials of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday said they are aiming at generating Rs 90 crore in the last leg of the current financial year. They would be using the traditional sources of revenue such as holding tax, advertisement license and parking fee, among others.
The BMC sources said all the corporators are unanimous on the decison, which was taken at a meeting recently. The BMC also plans to reform the revenue collection so that the budget for the next financial year, which is most likely to be prepared in February becomes realistic.
