Centre has asked the state government to follow Gujarat model of management information system using their school management software (SMS). The software will help in tracking students’ performances, maximising teachers’ efficiency and streamlining administration from headmaster level.
“The ministry of human resource development has suggested the state government to use the software developed by Gujarat. We would examine the facilities and if required a team of officers would visit Gujarat and learn its benefits before taking any final decision for adopting it,” said director of Odisha Primary Education Programme Authority (OPEPA), Mahendra Mallick.
