Shivaay had a fair second weekend of 13.25 crore nett apprx taking its ten day total to around 76.50 crore nett. The drop is only 45% from last weekend but that is because its was pre Diwali last week and collections were dull. Still after a holiday week and a clash its not a bad second weekend though it has been helped in parts by a prolonged holiday period. The jump on Sunday was solid across the board and on Sunday it was the closest it has ever been to Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Due to the holiday period, the figures of Shivaay in Gujarat / Saurashtra are HIT numbers and it will be second highest grosser of 2016 in this sub circuit of Mumbai after Sultan. This has also enabled the Mumbai circuit to be close to 30 crore nett in ten days which is good considering films like Housefull 3 and Dhoni did 35 crore in Mumbai for lifetime business. The film needs a big hold on second Monday to put up a good lifetime number which is actually turning out to be the first normal day since last Monday and the first real test but the trending outside the non holiday circuits suggest its a big ask and collections are likey to drop off but still the film has done pretty decent business till now.
